What to do about Sharia?

Those of us concerned about creeping Sharia in the west are sometimes asked “so even if we assume you are right, and it's not an exaggeration to say that there is a "global jihad, which works daily to impose the discriminatory and brutal strictures of Sharia upon free people” -- and we're not saying we agree, mind -- but even if we grant the danger, then what should be done?”
Well, one thing is to clarify that it's our laws in our lands, that it's One Law for All, as Oklahoma, of all places, has just announced.
You see the opposite happening in Canada, amusingly recounted here, by Mark Steyn.  The young woman in question has refused to remove her niqab, thus disrupting the language classes of the majority of her fellow students.  What's the bet that the Canadian government will find in her favour, another small advance for Sharia.  Encouraging, though, as Steyn reports, is the rather more robust view of the local Quebec government.
“If you want to integrate into Quebec society, here are our values,” said the Immigration Minister, Yolande James. “We want to see your face.”
